While the prior Magneto only had one head (with helmet permanently attached), this one has two heads—both unhelmeted and showing off Erik’s flowing white hair. With sticky hands, a sharp tail, and piercing yellow eyes, the trouble-making mutant Nightcrawler scales walls and teleports from place to place. Nightcrawler is a character that requires a lot of expensive unique tooling to create, so we don’t see him nearly as often in lineups as we do characters that can use a more common set of tooling.

The teeth have a little slop that I don’t notice in hand but becomes more obvious with close up photos. Finally, we’ve got a figure whose success will really depend on the release of the new animated series, in my opinion. X-Men 97' is ready to take everyone's favorite heroic mutants to new heights, and Hasbro has yet another way to bring them to life. I Love everything about the Night Crawler Action figure and I highly recommend it to other Collectors. Cyclops comes with 5 hands, an optic blast effects piece, and an interchangeable angry head that all add tons of dynamic posing potential.Nightcrawler comes in the regular Marvel Legends box which didn’t even make it home with me because I had to open this figure up ASAP and try and streamline what I’m carrying around the show floor with me as much as possible at SDCC. I think some artists tended to draw Kurt with more aquiline nose or stronger jaw, but these portraits feel like a better match for Cockrum’s work on the original Nightcrawler mini-series or the above mentioned McGuinness. Like Wolverine in the first wave, this seems like it will set the bar for a definitive Jim Lee Cyclops figure for years to come. The most high-profile of the four is probably the first 6” Nightcrawler Legends figure since the 2019 Wendigo series.

With the Marvel Legends Series, fans and collectors can start a legendary collection of comic- and entertainment-based Marvel characters. There’s also a sword and an interchangeable sword-grasping hand included (the standard right hand is a sort of fist). I was a big fan of his growing up, mainly because he looked cool and I thought teleportation would be one of the best mutant powers to have.
